WITH every other hockey game in Division Two postponed due to poor weather, Diss braved the driving snow to meet Old Buckenham II away.
Diss dominated play from the beginning with Pam Keeley and Keeley Reed defending solidly from the half-way line.
Despite Diss' numerous scoring chances it looked like a frustrating draw until Olivia Cates finished off a superb goal, high into the back of the net.
Diss cannot dwell on missed opportunities but should enjoy taking three points to sail up to fourth position.
Player of the match went to Olivia Cates for an outstanding goal and her first for the team.
