In the meeting between the bottom two teams at Walmer Road, Diss U18 beat AFC Royals 3-2 to secure the first win of the season in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League East Division.
The hosts led 1-0 at the break through Flynn Middlemass but Diss equalised in the 54th minute when Ralph Slaney was pushed at a corner and Josh Lucraft converted the resulting penalty.
It was no surprise when the visitors took a 67th minute lead when Finley Boreham sent a well struck shot crashing against the bar and the ball came out for Chris Disney to shoot in low into the corner.
The Royals got back on level terms when Casey Wilson drilled home a free-kick but the Tangerines grabbed the winner in the 88th minute. A poor goal-kick only reached Lucraft 35 yards out and he had a clear run into the penalty area before beating the keeper.
Diss are at home against Bungay U18 tonight (7.45pm).
