Bitterly cold winds did not stop 10 anglers from Diss AC settling round the Mere last Sunday.
Low weights followed the cold wind as the fish packed tightly together and unless you were feeding the right area, it was always going to be a struggle.
Peter Wall used all his knowledge to gain a victory, switching feed areas and following the fish up and down in the water, for an all-roach bag of 4lb 11oz. Second was George Wilby, who sat facing the wind, finding a crucian carp and a small common to give him 4lb 9oz. Third was Mark Ling with 3lb 14oz of roach.
