Diss Angling Club's silver fish match at the Mere saw 11 turn up and they caught over 200lb between them.

Top dog was Billy Hughes fishing peg 15 in the wind. He caught some good skimmers and roach for his bag of 37lb.

Ben Wilby came in second with 32lb 8oz and Robert Peake was third with 25lb 6oz.

The next match, also at the Mere, was won by Ben fishing peg 35. He caught close in with maggots for a weight of 32lb 12oz made up of perch, roach, skimmers and crucians. Second place went to Robert Peake with 29lb 14oz from peg nine. He had a carp and 15 skimmers for his bag. In third place was Jimmy Ellis with 23lb 4oz.

There was another silver fish match, this time at Thorpe Abbotts. Again it was Ben who took the honours. He fished up in the water at 9m to catch roach and rudd for a total weight of 20lb 2oz. Dordy Wilby was second with a weight of 13lb 8oz. Dordy also landed eight carp which didn't count. Billy Hughes was third with 13lb 7oz.
