The inaugural SNCL indoor U12 competition, hosted at Norwich School's Dayne's Sports Centre, delivered cricket of the highest standard.
There were successes for all six teams, with Mattishall and Brooke particularly impressive. Acle, Garboldisham and Hethersett & Tas Valley all provided stern tests before a narrow win for Brooke over Mattishall was enough to put them top the table.
The U14s, in its sixth year, saw Rocklands and Tas Valley set the pace. Rockland, off the back of their summer league and carnival titles, remained unbeaten and Tas, the only team to break through the 200 mark on two occasions, threatened to steal the crown on bonus points, despite losing a game.
In the end Rocklands did it the hard way, requiring 12 points from their final fixture with Great Ellingham, a task they achieved by the narrowest of margins, while Hethersett and Tas Valley were the runners-up.
