Eight members of Diss and Eye Sea Angling Club travelled to West Mersea on Saturday to fish for tope and thornback rays. The weather was hot and sunny and the sea was calm and the anglers travelled out over 20 miles to fish.
Eight members of Diss and Eye Sea Angling Club travelled to West Mersea on Saturday to fish for tope and thornback rays.
The weather was hot and sunny and the sea was calm and the anglers travelled out over 20 miles to fish.
Best fish of the day was a 43lb tope and new club record for Keith Carter from Hoxne.
Runner-up with another club record was Colin Haddock with a 15lb 8oz thornback ray.
Other members were: Pip Mills (Diss), David Newcombe (Tibenham), Charlie Flatman (Burgate), Michael Thorndyke (Eye), Jon Knight (Scole), Paul Stow (Scole).
