After a well-earned break, Diss Colts turned out eager to play Cambridge in the Eastern Counties Cup.
Cambridge turned out with a very efficient squad. The first half saw Diss playing sluggishly whilst Cambridge capitalised and scored from the offset by intercepting the ball twice. Cambridge also dominated the turnovers, ripping the ball and wrapping up players efficiently and were 17-10 up at half-time.
Down to 14 men, Diss scored and converted the next try to level the scores. After that it was all Diss, who won 30-22.
Diss U16s enjoyed a convincing 52-10 win against North Walsham. Nat Strange, Ben Brown and James Webster (two) ran in tries, converted by Kyle Harwood Lefevre for a 28-0 lead.
Ryan Taffe Fowle ran in two tries, one converted out of hand by George Jones. That was followed by a try from Aidan Dixon, which went unconverted. James Webster took a third try for Diss, converted by Max Lindle who had a superb game.
