Cup draws for Tangerines

Diss Town FC will host Cogenhoe United in the FACup extra preliminary round on Saturday, August 15.

The winners travel to either Walsham-le-Willows or Kirkley and Pakefield two weeks later in the preliminary round.

The preliminary round winners would then be away at one of Soham, St Ives or Daventry in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 12.

In the FA Carlsberg Vase Diss were given a bye into the second qualifying Round on Saturday, September 19 and will be at home to either Ely or Cornard.

The winners of that tie will be at home to either Eynesbury or Ipswich Wanderers in the First Round on Saturday, October 3.

In the FA Youth Cup preliminary round: Diss U18 will visit Cambridge United U18 in the week beginning Monday, September 5.

Early Diss Town pre-season friendly matches at Kirkley and Blofield have been cancelled, and the first match at Brewers Green Lane was also cancelled.

Current list of pre-season matches: July 14, Harleston v Diss (kick-off 7pm); July 21, Diss v Needham Market (7.45pm); July 24, Diss Reserves v Hempnall (7.30pm); July 28, Diss v CRC (7.45pm); July 30, Diss U18s v Watton U18s (7.30pm); August 1, Walsham-le-Willows v Diss (3pm); August 4, Diss v Lowestoft (7.45pm); August 5, Lowestoft U18s v Diss U18s (7.45pm); August 7, Wymondham v Diss Reserves (6.30pm); August 13, Bungay U18s v Diss U18s (7.30pm); August 20, Diss U18s v Norwich United U18s (7.30pm).

Mini Kickers for five to eight-year-old boys and girls will be held every Monday during the summer from 6pm to 7.30pm at a cost of £1.50 per session. Full details can be obtained from David Cobb on 07963 518657.

The club house facilities at Brewers Green Lane are available for use by other local sporting clubs.
