Twenty-six teams from across Norfolk and Suffolk met at North Walsham for a day of intense competition, and Diss squadron, who haven't made it past the primarily stages for some years, made the last eight teams.
They were finally knocked out by the overall runners-up from Woodbridge.
Cadet corporal Kyle Schooley (14), a student at Hartismere High School, said: "The team played really well, despite not being able to practice together. We're definitely going to put in some hard training for next year's competition. I was exhausted by the end of the day, but we all had such a excellent day!"
Flight Lieutenant Emma Dixon, commanding officer of 1070(Diss) Sqn said: 'Diss squadron are going from strength to strength this year. 2009 is definitely our year!'
