Delight for speedy trio
SOUTH Norfolk Masters sprinters Karen Hindle of Tivetshall St Mary, Andy Woods of Roydon and Ian Foster of Pulham Market, have put in some more impressive performances.
SOUTH Norfolk Masters sprinters Karen Hindle of Tivetshall St Mary, Andy Woods of Roydon and Ian Foster of Pulham Market, have put in some more impressive performances.
Their latest event was the EVAC (Eastern Veterans Athletic Club) Indoor Athletic Championships at Lee Valley AC, in Middlesex, last Sunday.
Karen recorded a personal best of 8.75 sec in the women's W40 60m event, taking second place. Andy in the men's M45 achieved a season's best of 8.13, taking joint third and Ian won the men's M65 in a world-class time, for his age, of 8.28.
In the 200m Karen was second in 29.58, Andy second in 27.37 and Ian first in 28.29.
The trio, coached by Foster, now have their sights set on the British Championships to be held next weekend, March 7 and 8, again at Lee Valley.
