Fielding first, Robbie West and Jack Bell utilised the swinging ball to restrict Brooke to just 18 off 7 overs before a wicket fell.
West's initial breakthrough was a beauty of a delivery that found Hayman's bat and carried through to Jamie Allen. Mark Williamson rattled Andrews' stumps with the first ball of his spell.
Cushing and Daynes guided the visitors to 113 when Tim Courridge (3-64) was rewarded for his hard graft with the wicket of Daynes.
After Bennett had fallen cheaply, Cushing finally succumbed to Williamson for 63. The Brooke lower order chipped in, to record 217-8, with Robbie West claiming two more victims.
Diss soon found themselves at 44-2 after good catches. Courridge (49) and Allen (10) offered the perfect riposte to tight bowling.
Diss then crumbled - an incredible seven wickets had been lost in total, for just 20 runs inside nine overs. Stamp (4-16) and Bennett (4-22) did most damage.
Jack Bell and Brian Cooper stood tall against all the Brooke attack could muster.
