Diss cruise to easy win
Diss, newly promoted to the Alliance Premier Division, cruised to an easy victory in a 46-over friendly at Mundford. Batting first on a green wicket Diss scored 202 for five wickets, thanks to an outstanding batting display by Will Dawson in scoring 70 with other good hands Rush and the Tooke brothers, David and Rob.

Replying, Mundford struggled as skipper Dave Tooke rang the changes using 10 bowlers including dad Mick who took a couple of wickets. An eighth wicket stand of 46 was Leader making an unbeaten 30 held things up but a final score of 132 for nine wickets saw the visitors triumph by 80 runs.
Debutant wicket keeper Tom Weal had a magnificent match behind the stumps and will certainly keep first-class gloves man Ben Green, unavailable for this game, on his toes.
