Diss golfing pair win through
Diss Golf Club's Jill Driver and Di Jacklin beat the pair from Swaffham to go through to the next round of the Daily Mail Foursomes Competition.It is the oldest national sponsored event in amateur golf and the tournament is now regarded as the greatest amateur golfing event in the world with more than 190,000 players competing in qualifying rounds.

The Pauline Burroughes Spring Salver has been running for 19 years in remembrance of an avid golfer and well-loved member of Diss Golf Club.
Special guests included Diana and Eric Burroughes, who very kindly agreed to present the prizes to the winners of this stableford competition.

Mr Burroughes made a small speech in memory of his late first wife and then presented the prizes. He invited everyone to accept a drink off him.

Lady Captain Jill Driver presented Diana Burroughes with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
