Diss destroyed Ipswich with a 16-try powershow in which 11 different players got on the scoresheet - which keeps play-off ambitions very much alive.

From early on when flanker Will Foote scored near the corner after a powerful forward 'catch and drive' move, this was a devastating try fest.

Prop Tim Groom stormed through for the second before Warren Wilby evaded three tackles to send centre Steve Hipwell between the posts.

Aarron Bliss went over in a corner for the third and Wilby again weaved through three tackles to score the first of his three tries.

It was game over by the interval after Bliss had scored his second try and a turnover following an Ipswich scrum on the five-metre line led to No 8 Andy Horne crashing over.

Foote got the second half under way with a jink round two opponents to score a superb individual try. Then Steve Hipwell scythed through to score under the posts. Ipswich got themselves on the scoresheet when winger Hatchard showed good pace to evade the Diss defence for an unconverted try.

But the Diss scoring continued even after they had made substitutions. Matt Gardiner powered through to get on the scoresheet in the first minute of his league debut.

A superb move, begun on the Diss 22, brought the next try when Horne, Pete Chartier, and Foote combined beautifully to set up second row Ollie Marriot.

Ross Wardlaw added a great

solo try. And having had his busiest-ever kicking afternoon, Chris Beaird added a try to his list of conversions. Another turnover ended with fly-half Zak Seaward spotting and exploiting a gap to score under the posts.

Wilby completed his hat-trick with two near identical back-to-back converted tries - his pace and evasive running proving key.

The Diss points total topped the hundred mark when Andy Horne scored a final converted try for a final score of 103-5.
