Diss Town, who returned to league action after a four-week break with a 2-1 win over Long Melford, visit Hadleigh on Saturday hoping to keep up the momentum.

Then on Tuesday the Tangerines host Ipswich Wanderers.

In the Long Melford game, Adie Hayes was serving his one-match suspension following his sending off at Downham.

George Wilson was serving the second match in his three match suspension following his send off against Gorleston.

Steve Wright had an early effort saved and Danny Mitchell was high when well placed.

Mark Camidge tipped a 25-yard shot from Dan Welch round a post as the half seemed set to end 0-0.

However, the Tangerines took the lead a minute before the break. Mitchell chased the ball and passed it to Mark Shadrack. He crossed for Andy Moody to head into the far corner of the net.

Danny Partridge forced Paul Wood into a good save in the first minute of the second half. Mitchell smashed a shot against the bar after Wood pushed away a shot from Matt Garnham.

Moody had another header cleared off the line by Tony French. Dan Manser and Dan Statham both had shots saved by Camidge before Melford equalised in the 59th minute. Ben Soanes gave the ball away and Anthony Clark moved forward and floated the ball over Camidge and into the net from 30 yards out.

The Tangerines scored the winner in the 81st minute. Mark Benterman gave the ball away to Mitchell. He played the ball to just outside the penalty area for Moody to beat a defender and shoot in for his seventh goal of the season.
