Diss Town FC friendlies cancelled

DISS Town Football Club has started pre-season training ahead of the 2010/11 season.

The pre-season friendly highlight is a trip to Brewers Green Lane from a Norwich City XI on Tuesday, July 27 (kick-off 7.45pm).

However, the first three friendly matches for various Diss teams have been cancelled. Both games scheduled for this Saturday - Diss v Blofield and Dersingham v Diss Reserves - have fallen victim to pitch problems following the recent extended dry spell. The Reepham v Diss Reserves match scheduled for last Monday was cancelled as Reepham are seeking a manager and players.

Wednesday August 18 Under-18s away at Gorleston (7.30pm). Wednesday, August 25 Under-18s away at Dereham U18s (7.30pm).

Diss Town have appointed Jamie Scales as A-team manager for the 2010/11 season. They will play their home matches at Shelfanger.
