DISS U13 have made it through to the county final of the MCC Spirit of Cricket Competition following a 35-run victory against Lowestoft in the semi-final.
Diss set the visitors a target of 138 in their 20 overs following contributions of 30 from Ben Roberts and Liam Fairweather, Kieran Pask also weighing in with 28.
Lowestoft lost early wickets and were always behind the required rate, Mark Brawn particularly impressive with four wickets, the visitors eventually dismissed for 102 in the penultimate over.
Diss will know they could and should have wrapped up the game much earlier, but this shouldn't detract from what was a very impressive team performance to reach this stage of the tournament.
