On Saturday Diss are at home to North Runcton (1.30pm), having got a disappointing losing draw against visitors Brooke at the weekend.
A fortnight ago Diss had entertained Brooke and got a disappointing losing draw out of the game. Missing out on 90 per cent of the Brooke total and four extra points by three runs. This time on the visit to Brooke Diss did marginally better in another disappointing losing draw. But this time they did get the extra runs needed for a 90 per cent losing draw.
Choosing to field, Diss got off to the best possible start when Gooderham bowled Habershom first ball and then bowled Panter in similar fashion.
Australian Parikh reached an elegant 44 before a beautifully disguised slower ball had him well caught by Spinks.

Showing control and stamina in taking the first four wickets this was the best spell of bowling for the club from the seamer.

Rob Tooke bowled an economical 13 overs, spoiled only by 15 runs coming from the 12th and the wicket of Reynolds brilliantly held by Blakely.
A troublesome seventh-wicket stand of 76 held up proceedings mainly due to a hard-hit 55 by Sturman broken when Dave Tooke had him well caught by keeper Weal to be followed by an even more superb stumping to get rid of Hood.
The final total of 185 as Brooke were bowled out in the 46th over did not raise any alarm bells, especially as Diss had four extra overs.
The pick of the bowlers was Gooderham but Rush and D Tooke with a couple of wickets each and there was some fine fielding especially three catches from Spinks. A good day in the field.
The reply was a different story. Again Diss got off to a fine start with 15 runs coming from the first over from Habershom who was replaced by Sturman.
Opener Rush again in fine form made a quick 39 with five fours and two sixes in an opening stand of 60 before being caught and bowled by Pretty.
Then Diss' troubles began. Fellow opener Simon Cooper was joined by youngster Ben Spinks who hit an 80-ball 18. Cooper at the other end found the going tough and eventually holed out to Habershom who took an excellent catch. But with three scoring in 70 balls the momentum of Rush's fine start was lost.
Chris Cooper made a solid 24 and when Tom Weal (MoM) came to the crease 46 runs were still needed to get 90 per cent of the total with two wickets left. Weal, with his finest batting performance for Diss, hit a magnificent 30 not out to get them.
