Over a 100 athletes took part in the Diss duathlon on Sunday, organised by the Tri-Anglia triathlon club. A Diss police community support officer was trying the event for the first time to raise money for leukaemia research as a friend has been diagnosed with the disease.

A Diss police community support officer was trying the event for the first time to raise money for leukaemia research as a friend has been diagnosed with the disease.
Sophie Martins, 27, who lives at Long Stratton, dug deep to complete two 5km runs and a 30km bike ride in 2-52:50, finishing to special applause from spectators.
Organiser Stewart Ingram said: "It was very good. We had over 100 starters and although it was bitterly cold most of them finished and enjoyed the day.”
The host club provided both main winners - Lee Calderon, who finished in a time of 1-27:32, and Natalie Sutton, who was the first woman home in 1-45:05.
