Eye say, great medal haul

Eye Kuk Sool Won pupils have returned from the 2008 Kuk Sool Won Championships having achieved great success. They came back with a total of 17 medals and a Grand Champion from the tournament held at King's Lynn.

Head instructor, Fifth Degree Master Steve Whiting oversaw the efforts of five pupils: Rachel Whiting, Robert Davis, James Barker, Emily Gooderson and Hephzibah Bowen

Their medal haul included nine gold, four silver and four bronze medals. Rachel Whiting won the women's Second Degree Grand Champion Trophy.

Just a week earlier, Rachel won the women's Second Degree Grand Champion Trophy in the Scotland Tournament in Edinburgh.

Whiting is taking a group of pupils to the 2008 World Kuk Sool Won Championships in October in Houston, Texas. It's a special year as it's the 50th anniversary of Kuk Sool Won.

Classes are held at Hartismere High School, Eye, on Sundays, junior class 6-7pm, adult class 7-8pm.
