THERE was disappointment for young rugby players from Diss and Wymondham this week when the weather put paid to a big day.
They were due to play in the quarter-finals of the prestigious Prima Tiger Cup Cup on Saturday, in front of a large crowd at the home of Leicester Tigers before the league game against London Wasps. But the main game's kick-off has been brought forward to try and beat the weather.
The youngsters' games will not take place that day but the teams are still being invited to Welford Road on Saturday and will have a lap of honour and their photographs taken on the pitch. Diss U10 were due to face Market Harborough and Wymondham to play Nottingham.
More information on the Prima Tiger Cup is available at the Tigers website www.leicestertigers.com
