Harleston Magpies Ladies IV travelled to Breckland knowing only a win would be good enough in their push for promotion.

The away side started slowly, struggling to find their good form from previous weeks, with Breckland making ground into Magpies' defensive third.

Magpies held out at the back though, and slowly began to get into the game, the midfield playing the ball up to the forward line, and creating some shooting opportunities.

The much-needed breakthrough came when Rachael Clifford passed to Kay Dennis in the D who rounded the last defender, slipped the ball past the Breckland keeper and gave Magpies the lead.

Minutes before the break a short corner strike from Treacle Snelling somehow found its way into the goal doubling the away side's advantage.

The second half saw Magpies battling to keep their lead with Treacle Snelling, Tracy Reeve and Zoe Cole working tirelessly in the midfield. Near the end of the game, Racheal Clifford put the result beyond doubt with Magpies' third goal.

A tough game for Magpies, but an excellent result going into their midweek clash with Harriers, before the crucial, final match against the league leaders next weekend.
