HARLESTON continued their winning run against a well-organised Wymondham Town.

This was Harleston's first fixture at home for four weeks. Harleston had most of the play in the first half but hard as they tried they could not break down the Wymondham defence and their final ball let them down.

Harleston were nearly caught in the first half but Steve Bartram saved well at the feet of the oncoming striker.

The second half Harleston continued to play an attacking game and the hard-working Ben Green broke away from the Wymondham defence and his shot hit a post but was quickly followed up by Finn Goodwin Wright who tapped home from close range. Wymondham kept to their game plan and with five minutes to go were awarded a penalty. Wymondham's centre-half took the penalty but Steve Bartram saved, diving to his left. The final minutes were played out nervously.

Harleston continue to march on and play fellow promotion hopefuls Easton at Easton College on Saturday, ko 2.30pm.
