Stradbroke Cricket Club took part in Nat West Cricket Force Day last week, and despite the snow that curtailed their efforts, 20 members and volunteers painted the score box, erected the practice nets, tidied the equipment shed, and laid turf around the artificial pitch.
It was all preparation for another busy season. As well as a Saturday 1st XI, two Sunday sides play league cricket, plus a mixed age Academy XI.
The club also runs junior teams at U15, U13 and U11, and has a thriving girls' section, playing friendlies.
Stradbroke also coach in five local Primary Schools as part of the Chance to Shine programme. Whatever your age, ability or gender, there is something for you.
