After last Bank Holiday Monday's thrilling 3-2 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Easton, Harleston entertained Brandon Town Reserves.

The first half found Harleston well in control of the game but could not break the deadlock, making the wrong decisions at important moments.

The breakthrough came after a good move involving four players and Kieron Passey slotted home to give Town the lead.

Brandon almost replied on the counter-attack after their striker hit the post.

At the end of the first half Kieron Passey was sent off for dissent and Harleston were down to 10 men.

The second half saw Harleston regroup and finally get rewarded for their efforts. Brandon cleared their lines from a corner only as far as Ryan London who smashed the ball home to give Town a 2-0 lead.

Shortly after the second goal Finn Goodwin Wright put through Shah Mahboubinik to score his 19th goal of the season. With about 15 minutes left after another attack was thwarted.

Harleston Town were awarded a penalty and captain Wes Holloway made no mistake from the spot.

Substitute Joel Mullin was on hand to put through Finn Goodwin Wright to score a fine goal and wrap up the victory.
