AFC Hoxne twice came from behind to record a splendid 3-2 victory away to Stradbroke in the Ipswich League, Division Two. In an evenly contested first half of few clear cut chances, the only goal was a headed own goal by Hoxne left back Stewart Cattermole.

In an evenly contested first half of few clear cut chances, the only goal was a headed own goal by Hoxne left back Stewart Cattermole.

The visitors played very well in the second half and deserved their win, a superb 50-yard cross-field pass by Steve Garland saw Bubby Dade skilfully guide the ball home but Stradbroke was soon back in front with a shot by Karl Wythe.

The home side hit the bar through Bobby Varela but Hoxne won it with two fantastic free-kick efforts by Tim Courridge.
