Missing eight players it was always going to be difficult for Scole, who were beaten 2-0 at Wymondham. Their reserve team game was called off.
Although it was a young and inexperienced squad they took the game to a tough Wymondham side. Scole played some good football in the first half, and had the lion's share of possession. Unfortunately they did not carry enough goal threat.
A bouyed up Wymondham scored the opener in scrappy circumstances when former Diss Town defender Kyle Downes glanced in a header from a free kick on the 50th minute. Twenty minutes later Wymondham doubled their lead.
It was a disappointing result but Scole stood up well to some tough challenges and tackles and this will prove a well learnt lesson for some of the young players for the future.
Player of the match was 17-year-old Lawrence Brown who showed positional awareness and composure.
