A warm Sunday welcomed 11 members from Diss Angling Club at Eye Ponds old side.

Water temperatures are still low keeping the silver fish from really going for baits, but that didn't stop some good weights coming out for the time of year.

Mark Johnson drew well, with peg 11, and found a small pocket of feeding fish. Roach and rudd made up the bulk of the winning net, but he also found some perch to push him well clear of second and he finished with 11lb 3oz. Second was George Wilby – his best fish was an impressive 2lb 8oz perch, taken on red maggot as he weighed in with 9lb 4oz. Third went to junior angler Brandon Harold, with 6lb 6oz.
