Diss Golf Club's ladies' captain Jenny Chamberlin held her charity day in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society last week with an individual stableford competition and a raffle.
The weather was disappointing at the start of play, with strong winds making playing conditions a tough, but thankfully it did improve as the competition progressed and there was an exciting finish.
The player coming in with the best score was Liz Speak with 35 Stableford points. In second place was Val Mendham with 34 points while in third place on countback was Jane Fishwick with 30 points from Becky Draper, also with 30 points.
There were prizes also for the best front and back nine and nearest the pin. Jenny thanked all who participated, provided raffle prizes and bought raffle tickets.
The sum of £140 was raised on the day for the captain's chosen charity which will be added to other funds raised so far this year.
