HARLESTON Magpies Men returned to winning ways last weekend when they convincingly beat Cambridge City 7-1

The Cambridge side bolstered by new signings and on a better run of form were quickly put in their place by a Magpies side determined to secure maximum points and eager to put right any shortfalls of the previous week.

With Havering and St Albans sharing the points Cambridge University appear the only threat to Magpies.

Magpies squad will need to be at their best this weekend for the visit of fourth-placed Blueharts.

With player coach Richard Gill and Neil Toulson missing this game, and Tom Sumner who missed last weekend's game with a back injury, a fitness doubt, Magpies turn to Ben Wright and Craig Snelling to take their places. Both these youngsters are more than capable of playing at this level and should do well coming into a side full of confidence and playing well.

With the league title in their sights Magpies will focus on securing another win with no regard for their rivals' results.
