MAGPIES Men have secured their place in the Men's Conference East for another season.

Following their win over Indian Gymnkhana, Harleston were in fine spirits and visited Old Loughtonians and were really put to the test.

The Essex side started at blistering pace and were two up early on.

In the second half, despite pressure from the Norfolk side, Loughtonians extended their lead. Magpies pressed for much of the second half scoring two goals, and it was Loughtonians who were happy to hear the final whistle, to keep up their slender hopes of winning the league.

With Indian Gymkhana losing, Magpies are now assured of their place in the league for next season.

This week's game at Weybred on Saturday (2.15 push back) is the final home fixture of the season and with visitors Oxted currently sitting in fourth position it will be tough.
