Harleston U12s played away in a league match against Freethorpe and emerged 1-0 winners.
Harleston dominated from the outset. Early on Leighton Tompkins made a good pass to Ollie Waters who had a crack at goal but it just went wide. There was some nice passing football played, including a good pass to Bradley Cooper that went wide of the goal.
Freethorpe were awarded a free-kick which was saved by the Harleston goalkeeper.
At the other end Joe Mayhew took a great corner, but Will Hawe's header went over the bar. Eventually there was a deserved goal with Nathan Miller the saviour, after a goalmouth scramble.
The second half saw much of the same. Lots of chances for Harleston, but no goals scored. Robbie Bettinson worked well as did player of the match Waters, moving the ball well across the field. It was a good game and had it not been for Freethorpe's solid defence the scoreline could have been greater.
