Ten swimmers from Diss Otters were rewarded for excellent results at this year’s county championships by being selected for Norfolk in the upcoming Tri-Counties gala at the UEA on March 5.

It is quite unique to have so many swimmers from Diss picked for one gala, so much so that they have the same amount of swimmers selected as both West Norfolk and Norwich Swan, far bigger clubs.

The swimmers called up are: Sophia Pickering, Grace Greenhalf, Rosie Munnings, Barney Clarke, Matthew Munnings, Cameron Day, Matthew Tatum, Isaac Bachu, Joel Clarke and Dominic Boylan.

Many swimmers selected are already training hard for the Eastern Regional Championships in April and May. At present, seven swimmers have qualified, and with several galas before the closing date, it will hopefully mean that the club will be well represented in Luton in April and in Norwich in May.
