This included overcoming Jason Evans (+5) who had beaten Pendle in the league two weeks earlier. Both teams have the same average going into their final group matches.

In the other match in group A, Palgrave Tornadoes scrapped a 10-9 win over Shotguns G, with both Dennis Sore (+15) and Ben Sturman (+20) winning four legs each for their teams.

In group B, Palgrave Terriers beat Shotguns C 11-7, with Tony Park (+8) taking five legs for the Terriers, and Aslacton B beat Botesdale 12-6, with John Hillman (+20) also winning five legs.

In group C, Shotguns E beat Palgrave Stars 12-6, where Richard Pursehouse (+14) was unbeaten. Roydon beat Shotguns A/B 13-5, with Alan Connelly taking five legs.

In group D, Withersdale beat Aslacton A 10-9, with Barney Garrod (+3) taking four legs, and Shotguns F beat Thrandeston 15-3, with Ken Bowman (+13) unbeaten.

Final group matches take place during week commencing February 9, but only the group winners progress to the semi-finals.

In the Leisure Sport Premier Division, Pulham extended their lead at the top after an exciting 8-2 win over Shotguns C, where both Francis Webb and James Skilleter were unbeaten.

However, Dan Gigli made sure they worked for every point as he lost in the fifth leg in both games, but did come back well to beat Steve Pendle in three legs. Elsewhere Shotguns A beat Shotguns B 6-4, with Peter Maybury winning all his legs on the night.

In the Speedy Bat Sports Division One, Shotguns F had two 9-1 wins over Shotguns G and Thrandeston, with Ken Bowman unbeaten in both matches.
