Petanque doubles battle it out
Newly-formed Laxfield Petanque Club held their first open doubles competition at the Low House pub on Bank Holiday Monday. Fourteen teams took part in a friendly and exciting match, which ended in a win for Jackie Johnson from Hoxne PC who paired Colin Baldry in a 13-4 defeat of Lynn Pulling and Colin Emeny.

Congratulations to landlord Bob Wilson and his son Paul for organising such an ambitious event and everyone is eagerly awaiting their next competition in September.
Laxfield ladies' team meanwhile are going from strength to strength and recently managed a creditable 2-2 draw at home against the Harbour Inn, Southwold in the Suffolk Coastal League.
