In the Leisure Sport Premier Division, Weybread Rejects travelled to Aslacton and came away 10-0 winners.

Aslacton, fielding only two players, found it tough although both Joe Aldrich and John Bryant took a leg off Greg Collett, Bryant featured in the game of the evening against Mark Durham before eventually losing 11-9, 4-11, 14-12, 5-11, 3-11.

Palgrave Terriers overcame a resilient Newton Flotman A 7-3 in a match played before Christmas. Tony Park was the Terriers' star performer with a fine maximum, dropping only one leg on the night.

Will Cole supported with a double before teaming up with Park to win the doubles 11-7, 11-9, 10-12, 11-7. Stuart Cooper also won two points for Flotman which included a 12-10, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8 win over Cole.

In the Speedy Bat Sports First Division, Palgrave Stars overcame the Diss Youngsters 9-1 with Terry Rayner and David Leeder unbeaten. Robin Breeze gained the youngsters' only point with hard-fought battle with Brian West which went to the wire - 11-6, 7-11, 11-7, 5-11, 14-12.

Elsewhere, Thrandeston drew 5-5 with Shotguns F. Billy Howe was the top performer as he won all his games without dropping a leg. Adam Whitehouse overcame Chris Willoughby 11-7, 11-13, 11-8, 10-12, 11-5 before teaming up with Howe to win the doubles 12-10, 11-8, 12-10.

This week sees the first round robin of matches in the knock-out handicap cup competition.

Please note that Weybread Rejects have taken the place of the withdrawn Shotguns C team and will play Botesdale Batters at home and Aslacton B away.
