In the league third division north, field judge Reg Wright found himself judging the shot and discus where two ex-Diss AC men were competing against one another.
Leo Barker, now competing for Havering, won the shot with a putt of over 12 metres. Simon Bowman, now with West Norfolk AC, went on to win the hammer event with a throw of over 41 metres - his best throw so far this season.
On Saturday, the Norfolk Schools' Championships will take place at Norwich, starting at 11am.
