DISS Town have their main pre-season friendly match on Tuesday when they entertain a Norwich City XI at Brewers Green Lane (kick-off 7.45pm).

Diss will now visit Wroxham this Saturday (kick-off 2pm).

Both the Tangerines and Yachtsmen had their intended matches cancelled by their opponents.

Diss were due to travel to Brandon but the local council called the game off due to the very dry nature of the pitch.

Diss Town 2, Stotfold 2

DISS continued their build-up to the 2010/11 season with a fine display against Hereward Teamwear United Counties Premier Division Stotfold.

Stotfold finished seventh last season in a league that was won by Daventry Town, who visit Brewers Green Lane on August 14 in the F A Cup, writes Tony Collins.

It is a division that the newly-formed King's Lynn Town will play in next season.

A flowing third minute move saw Jordan Rocastle send a right-foot shot low into the far corner of the net from 12 yards out to put the Tangerines ahead.

Matty Webster made a fine 26th minute save when he palmed a curling 25-yard left-foot shot from Michael Payne over the bar.

Diss went 2-0 ahead in the 31st minute when Sam Bryant shot in from eight yards out after Brad Gillham had made a brilliant save in blocking a Luke Catchpole shot after he was sent into the penalty area by Tom Bryant.

There were many changes to both sides in the second half with the Stotfold substitute goalkeeper making a great 50th-minute save to prevent Catchpole from making it 3-0.

Webster made the save of the match to push a shot from Paul Gannett over the bar before Stotfold took control.

Gannett scored both goals. He capitalised on the inability of Diss to clear the ball and shot in from six yards out in the 61st minute.

And he equalised in the 75th when he tapped in from three yards after a header from Jack Gregson came back off the bar.

Diss starting team: Matty Webster, Mark Shadrack, Stuart Garner, Simon Jackson, Brendan Foley, Tom Cross, Luke Catchpole, Jordan Rocastle, Simon Mann, Tom Bryant, Sam Bryant.

Diss subs: Chris Gibbons (Foley 58), Ben Gillies (Catchpole 51), Andy Woods (Mann 74), Peter Hooks (T Bryant 75), Liam Smith (Rocastle 62) and Sam Goff (Cross half-time).
