Heywood Sports Squash teams have got off to a sluggish start in their summer league campaigns.
The first team recorded a loss against Barnham Broom going down 14-3 with Jack Bell picking up a consolation win at third string.
The following week they also faced a below-strength Oasis team with both sides missing their number one, Neil Cross and Mark Nicholls respectively.
Diss won this encounter 16-5 with straight game victories and the bottom of the order from Bell and Dan Calver. Tom Bobbins won 3-2 at first string. Oasis’ one win came from Ali Ponder who fought back from 2-1 down in games to beat Andy O’Toole 15-10 in the fifth.
Meanwhile the third team are still looking for their first win as they were beaten by Barnham Broom and Broadlands both 3-1.
Diss recorded wins at the top of the order in both matches through Bell and Bobbins.
Next week the Suffolk League team host Lexden in what should be a hot battle. Thursday night, 7.40pm. All spectators welcome.
n Heywood Sports Five-a-Side Football League moved into the second half of season five and this week saw Saracens knocked off the top of the league table after being beaten by the in-form Finningham White Horse.

This has made way for AFC Timmy and The Cock Inn to move into joint first place on 24 points.
AFC Timmy blasted seven past Mitre I while The Cock Inn received a 5-0 walkover win while the league looks for a 10th team.
The match of the night was between CBFC and Brockdish King’s Head where the latter went down in an extremely tight match losing 5-4.
