Trophy tussle for Diss golfers

A TEAM of four players from Diss GC seniors section played in the annual Ambassadors Trophy at Costessey Park on Friday, September 25 and gained third place with 108 points.

A TEAM of four players from Diss GC seniors section played in the annual Ambassadors Trophy at Costessey Park on Friday, September 25 and gained third place with 108 points.

The competition, played under blue skies in ideal conditions, was held at Costessey Park Golf Club where 19 teams from all over Norfolk entered.

The competition was well organised and prizes were presented after an excellent lunch.

The Diss GC seniors' team consisted of (from left in photo) Bob Attwood (captain), John Sparks, Brian Langmead and David Walker. Bob Attwood also won the longest drive prize on the fifth hole for his drive of over 270 yards.
