Diss Angling Club saw the last in the Winter Series take place at the Mere.
First was Ben Wilby with 27lb 11oz from peg 27. Ben's catch included a 13lb carp and the rest skimmers and roach. Second was John Mears with 7lb 11oz and Dordy Wilby was third with 6lb 13oz. The win was enough for Ben to take the series with 19 points ahead of Dordy Wilby 16 and John Mears 14.
Saturday's match was a pike match at Hoxne. This was the best fishing the pike anglers have had to date with 20 being caught. Dordy Wilby took the honours with 42lb 4oz which included a 15-pounder. Second was Colin Lea with 41lb 3oz.
Last Tuesday's vets match at Hinderclay Lakes saw strong winds wreck the fishing but Dave Shearing won with 11lb 12oz. Dordy Wilby was second with 10lb 14oz. Then on Tuesday at Yaxley Lakes. Bill Malsters won with 20lb 6oz. Brandon Harrold was second with 14lb 7oz and Keith Rodwell had 11lb 10oz for third.
