BABY massage, which is claimed to bring physical and psychological benefits to parents and babies including bonding, communication, sleep and relieving symptoms of colic, is on its way to Eye.

A five-week course for babies under one year is starting on Tuesday, February 19 from 1.15 to 2.45pm at Eye Bowls Club in Brome Avenue. Instructor Alison Hayhoe, a midwife nurse and mother of two, trained under the accredited International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).
The cost of the course is £38 including massage oil, handouts, refreshments and a certificate of completion. One-to-one sessions can also be arranged at home.

Mothers attending a pre-Christmas course at Eye all said how much they and their babies had benefitted from the sessions. Apart from learning the techniques they had welcomed the social and relaxed atmosphere in warm and comfortable surroundings and the babies enjoyed it too.
