A CANDLELIT concert takes place in Shimpling church on Saturday, September 12, giving music lovers the chance to see the Peter Creswell Concert Party.
The musical programme includes all kinds of pieces for harp, viola, flute, clarinet, piano and songs both light and classical. Before the concert, which starts at 8pm, there will be a chance to have a picnic in the grounds of St George's Church from 5.30pm.
Last year's event was a sell out, so those interested are advised to buy tickets early. Tickets are adults £6 and concessions £4 and are available from: Janet Whiteside on 01379 741771; Sheila Cooper 740990; Len Hobson 741033 or Richard Carter 741113.
It is a ticket only event and is jointly organised by Burston and Shimpling Parish Council in co-operation with The Churches Conservation Trust.
