One of Suffolk's rare heavy horse breeds, the Suffolk Punch, together with Shires, Percherons and Clydesdales will be pulling in the crowds near Attleborough on Sunday at the Eastern Counties Heavy Horse Association Heavy Show and Ploughing Championships.

Last year the event attracted over 400 people and this year's show promises heavy horse in hand classes, working displays, ploughing match and heavy horse in harness competitions.

There is also a bird of prey display, demonstrations by Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, vintage tractor ploughing and drawing match, displays of bygones and agricultural equipment together with craft/cake stands and trade show.

Money raised on the day will be ploughed back into the association to encourage people to keep working heavy horses.

The event takes place at Old Hall Farm, Burgh Common near Attleborough on Sunday. The gates open at 10am and event runs until 4pm.

Tickets are £5 on the gate and children up to 16 are free. The event will be sign posted from Attleborough.
