Diss Film Society at The Park Hotel is showing You, The Living (15) on Monday at 8pm.

Composed of 50 vignettes, each about 90 seconds long, 'You, The Living' is like a silent comedy, but with words, reflecting on everyday life, death and the human condition - 'about the vulnerability of human beings'. Very funny in a dark, surreal fashion, each scene makes a small point and moves on, some characters turning up in later shots some not. This unique film is only the fourth in 37 years by Swedish director, Roy Andersson, described as Ingmar Bergman's successor.

Admission £4; members £3; students £2.
