When it comes to preserving there is no need to be in a pickle as one of Norfolk's experts will be passing on her knowledge at a special seasonal event.
Master preserver Janet Peachey, of Peacheys Preserves, produced in Alburgh, near Harleston, will be giving a masterclass at Redgrave and Lopham Fen on September 23.
Janet will show pupils how to use a variety of ingredients from the late summer harvest to create different flavours and give you lots of new ideas for recipes.
Peacheys Preserves, which she set up in 2004, sees her make all her preserves by hand using family recipes using own-grown wild and local produce including Aspall's cyder and vinegar, and real ales from Grain and Humpty Dumpty breweries. Earlier this year, she launched a new Marmalade gin liqueur.
Tickets for the event, which runs from 10am-3pm, are priced £30, plus £8 for ingredients and jars. Book at suffolkwildlifetrust.org
