This year's Christmas Jam at Diss Corn Hall will instead take place on Friday, November 14, under the banner of The Big Birthday Bash. Denny Newman, formerlandlord of the Mellis Railway Tavern, promises a rhythm and blues concert to match the previous six gigs he has presented, which have featured former Bluesbreaker and Rolling Stone, Mick Taylor, 1960s icons The Yardbirds and Zoot Money, and Denny's own band The Regulars.

This year's concert will be headlined by one of the hottest live acts on the UK and

European gig circuit, Nine Below Zero, whose line-up includes Gerry McAvoy and Brendon O'Neil from the Rory Gallagher Band.

The concert will follow its normal format with The Regulars, featuring keyboard maestro Max Middleton, and their guests to be confirmed.
