Diss Film Society at The Park Hotel is showing the classic film noir Fallen Angel on Monday at 8pm.

Otto Preminger's 1945 film has the classic film noir scenario - poor man develops obsession with femme fatale. The hero, Dana Andrews, falls in love with beautiful waitress, Linda Darnell, but marries rich girl, Alice Faye, for the money he needs to woo her. When the waitress is killed, our hero investigates the murder on his own, eventually discovering the shocking identity of the killer. The incisive acting and shadowy world of midnight rendezvous make this one of Preminger's early masterpieces.

Admission £4; members £3; students £2.
