SOUTH Norfolk singer Marina Florance, left, has been invited to perform at next month's four-day Cambridge Folk Festival.

Originally from London, but now living in Long Stratton, she has been writing songs since her early teens but didn't begin performing her own work in earnest until 2004.

Her voice has been described as “like chocolate”, and she was one of the debut acts for new independent label High Barn Records with her 14-track album Somewhere Down The Line.

Marina will be performing on Friday, August 1 at the Cambridge Folk Club Club Tent between 6pm and 11.30pm.
