CHOIR fans have the chance to experience the passion, fun and excitement of seeing their local community choirs singing their hearts out in a special Kenninghall Koncert at St Mary's Church on Saturday (7.30pm).

Local singing group Kenninghall Singers are joining forces with Attleborough-based Cowshed Chorale under the baton of their new musical director, Chrissy Parsons-West, to perform a selection of their repertoire of African songs, spirituals and pop arrangements.

In the second half of the programme Chrissy is bringing Hearts & Voices, her popular community choir from Norwich, to air their own particular brand of vocal harmonies in everything from an ancient Polynesian chant to a jazz show tune

“With the huge degree of interest generated by the TV programme, this seemed like a good time to showcase the choirs” said Chrissy “ and to show everyone in this area of Norfolk that the same kinds of choirs are live and kicking right on their doorstep!”

The ticket price, £5/ £3, concessions, includes a light buffet supper.

All profits from Saturday's concert will be donated to help St Mary's Church with the purchase of their new piano.
